For me netbook is the small one and notebook is the bigger one.

Netbook is design for travelling it is longer battery life compared in notebook but it's not advisable for multi tasking because netbooks is design for personal use only especially for internet, chat ms office documents purposes only. While Notebook laptop is design for multitasking (depending in specifications).
